Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for the accurate and efficient handling of all incoming and outgoing materials in a fast-paced millwork environment. This position ensures that all shipments are properly packaged, documented, and received in a timely manner while maintaining a clean and organized work area.

- Receive incoming materials, verify quantities and inspect for damage or discrepancies.
- Check shipping documentation such as packing slips, bills of lading, and purchase orders.
- Accurately report received materials to Purchasing Agent and appropriate production team member.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, labeling, and staging materials.
- Assist to coordinate freight pickups with carriers and couriers.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of shipping/receiving and storage areas.
- Communicate with purchasing, production, and driver departments as needed.
- Assist with inventory control activities.
- Follow company procedures and safety standards at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1-2 years of experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations, preferably in a millwork or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with shipping software, inventory systems, and common carriers (FedEx, UPS, LTL freight).
- Basic computer literacy (email, Trello, spreadsheets, inventory management systems).
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in varying temperatures or conditions.
